I love San Francisco. It's a wonderful place to live and I adore almost everything about it. But, there is something about this city (and America as a whole) that I take umbrage with. The chocolate. It's bitter, waxy and either covered in, or covering, a metric tonne of peanut butter. Compare this to the majesty of Irish chocolate which is so creamy and delicious that nine times out of ten I forget my name, gender, and current location while eating it.
Now that you understand my plight I hope you will withhold your judgement. Why? Because every time I go back to Ireland I'm pretty sure I cause a non-insignificant spike in Cadburys share prices. On my last trip, while recovering from a particularly chocolatey hangover, I decided to pay homage to my sweet tooth through the medium of food typography, specifically with sugar.
I kinda felt like a mix between Scarface and Willy Wonka while making this.
