Our ECD at LinkedIn, Nick Bartle (now CMO of Pandora), had a metaphor he used to describe new creative ideas. He described fledgling concepts as "Baby Tigers". A Baby Tiger is something that is, at first, very fragile, but has the potential to grow into something huge and unstoppable if nurtured correctly.

The Baby Tiger Award was created to recognize an exceptional individual who successfully took an idea from conceptualization to final execution without compromising on quality or integrity. 

The award itself was designed by Donal Rusimbi and I. We worked with the good people at Branch Creative to manufacture the piece.

In order to create some buzz within our org, we created a short teaser video. This was shot and edited over a weekend on a budget of $0. The setup was cheap but effective. We built an enclosed mini studio using black foam core and cut a small hole in the back wall. We shone some LEDs through this hole and sprayed some haze to create a bit of Spielbergian atmosphere.
