Hello there, Mullenlowe person! I saw you guys were looking for a Digital/Motion Designer so I thought I’d throw my hat in the ring in the form of a custom portfolio page. I pride myself on being an end-to-end creative type. For the last two years I’ve been working extensively for Secret Cinema, where part of my responsibility was concepting and executing short form engaging social content. I am used to working with autonomy, taking responsibility of a brief right through to completion, which I think lines up closely with what you’re looking for.
Below is a hand picked selection of work.
Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.
To promote Secret Cinema’s immersive production of Stranger Things, I created a set of short animations showing iconic parts of London in the “Upside Down”. I was inspired by a shot from season two of the show where the character Will, phases in and out of sinister, supernatural parallel dimension. The below animations loop seamlessly on social.
Coca-Cola were an official partner for the production of Stranger Things. I worked with their brand team, as well as a team at Facebook/Instagram to make the platform’s first “Upside Down” story.
By creating a story that appeared upside down, with arresting visuals and sound, we succeeded in stopping quite a few thumbs.
On all metrics (ad recall, brand awareness and sentiment) we saw significant uplift, well above the average for the UK as a whole for all FB ads. Sentiment increased by 1.8pts which means people liked the ad. On all of this, the uplift we delivered was twice as strong than the average.
A series of motion and static idents made as part of a Secret Cinema brand campaign.
This ident was made from one still image that I cut up and animated with parallax to make it feel like a three dimensional shot.
