Parliamentary Digital Service
Multimedia Producer

Hello there, PDS person! I saw you guys were looking for a Multimedia Producer so I thought I’d throw my hat in the ring in the form of a custom portfolio page. I pride myself on being an end-to-end creative who loves to take ownership of projects. I’ve spent the last 2+ years working for Secret Cinema where I created bespoke social assets & animations to promote our various shows. Prior to that I worked in Silicon Valley as a Visual Designer for LinkedIn.

I’ve also spent the last 3+ years producing podcasts, the main one being a politics podcast.

What follows is a sample of some projects that I felt were relevant to the role. More of my work can be found here.

Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have.

Podcasts

What Am Politics?

For the last three years I have been producing, hosting and editing a politcal comedy podcast called “What Am Politics?”. The aim of the show is to take big, often inaccessible political concepts and break them down into comedic bite size bits. We replace solemnity with irreverence and offer a lighter take, while still making sure to be educational. We have produce over 100 episodes and have had sold out live performances at the Dublin Podcast Festival and Electric Picnic. We are also a proud member of Headstuff, Irelands largest podcast network.

Animations/Video

Secret Cinema Presents: Stranger Things

To promote Secret Cinema’s immersive production of Stranger Things, I created a set of short animations showing iconic parts of London in the “Upside Down”. I was inspired by a shot from season two of the show where the character Will, phases in and out of sinister, supernatural parallel dimension. The below animations loop seamlessly on social.

Coca-Cola were an official partner for the production of Stranger Things. I worked with their brand team, as well as a team at Facebook/Instagram to make the platform’s first “Upside Down” story.

By creating a story that appeared upside down, with arresting visuals and sound, we succeeded in stopping quite a few thumbs.

On all metrics (ad recall, brand awareness and sentiment) we saw significant uplift, well above the average for the UK as a whole for all FB ads. Sentiment increased by 1.8pts which means people liked the ad. On all of this, the uplift we delivered was twice as strong than the average.

Tell No One

A series of motion and static idents made as part of a Secret Cinema brand campaign.

This ident was made from one still image that I cut up and animated with parallax to make it feel like a three dimensional shot.
